Resveratrol Benefits: Is the Hype Justified?
Saturday, May 30th, 2009We've all seen this before, right? These things have a tendency to really frustrate anyone who wants to live a healthier life, because most new supplements all seem to suggest that whatever is the latest one is the best.
If you're like me, you've probably gotten excited in the past and have rushed out to buy expensive supplements, powders, pills, capsules, tinctures, teas, or some other concoction that promised to rejuvenate your mind and body.
And I'm sure that some of them have probably worked for you. I know that some of the supplements I regularly take are definitely making me healthier. But even though many of them work, there are lots of others that don't.
Sound familiar? So when the news first broke about resveratrol and it’s supposed fountain-of-youth qualities, I naturally got excited and wanted to rush out and buy resveratrol, but I also tried deliberately to tone down my enthusiasm. So this is what happens when you've been down the same road before.
But it's important to understand the difference when were talking about resveratrol versus the other remedies that have come up in the past. You can find actual studies that have been done scientifically that lend credence to the claims.
In fact, the research is so promising, and apparently so convincing, that even major U.S. the big pharmaceutical companies are starting to climb on this.
But is resveratrol the real deal? I'm no doctor, but I certainly tend to think that it is.
Of course, as you might expect, there's a caveat to all of this. What we're seeing with resveratrol is that there are now many suppliers who may not take quality so seriously, and you are simply trying to get a product out on the market as quickly as possible.
So of course this means that you need to be careful about how you go about getting your resveratrol. I’m show you what I think is the very best way to find the highest quality resveratrol around at this Buy Resveratrol Supplements review page. Click on that link and you'll see what I'm talking about.
(Oh, and I'll also tell you how to get a full supply of resveratrol for free. This is great little tactic, so click that link and check it out!)
First, just in case you weren’t aware, I wanted to go through some of the resveratrol benefits so that you can see what has everyone so excited.
Did you know, for example, that resveratrol has been shown to be as much as 50 times more powerful as an antioxidant than vitamin C?
And that's only the start. In the lab, it was pretty easy to spot the subjects who had been given resveratrol, since they performed better on both mental and physical tests, and in general performed as though they were much younger. But this isn't even the end of the story -- there's more.
There is no doubt that this is the main reason people are so enthusiastic. What we're talking about here is a substance, that's naturally occurring, and that apparently acts to slow down or reverse the aging process.
Now of course we have to throw in here that there have been no long-term studies on resveratrol as of yet. Maybe you share my opinion that it doesn't make a heck of a lot of sense to try and slow down the aging process only when you're too old to care.
I'd rather work on stopping the aging process right away. So that in 20 years I can look back at this point in my life and say that it was one of the smartest decisions I ever made.
