The most common way that can help treat eczema is to always keep your skin moisturized. This will allow your skin to avoid any flare-ups and minimize the itchy feel. Moisturizing your skin at least twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening will make your skin moisturized and supple.
An emollient is one of the most effective remedy for eczema. This comes in different forms such as oils, lotions, and creams. Make sure that you look for one that you are comfortable with. You may also get two and just use it interchangeably. It can also be placed in the refrigerator in order to have a cooling effect on the skin during summer.
Oatmeal bath is a relaxing treatment for this condition. You can get ready-made products of this on your favorite grocery store. Rolled oats can also be used. You just need to add the oatmeal on a lukewarm water in your tub and just add more if you still feel the itchiness. Make sure that you apply moisturizer to keep your skin moisturized.
Another good remedy is a mixture of comfrey root, slippery elm bark, and white bark. Boil the mixture for 35 minutes and cool. This mixture is used to wash the skin. It can help in decreasing the itch although it will not remove it.
Blueberry leaves are also good for eczema. This can help relieve the inflammation and itchiness. Vitamin E can also help. Just apply vitamin E (in cream form) to the affected area. You can also take Vitamin E supplements. More articles at Eczema on Face
