Reduce Tummy Tuck Scarring

scar

I was always large, as a kid, as a teenager right into adulthood. Then I had my two children! Well, I suspect I don’t need to say much more, my baggy tummy was NOT pretty! So, as some women would, I looked into having a tummy tuck, it was expensive, but we had some money put aside so my boyfriend and I decided it was worth it.

I got booked in with a highly regarded surgeon and with few problems I had a smaller tighter stomach. The only worry I now had was the very large scar across my tummy where the operating personnel had sliced into my skin. He informed me that over time this would lose color and that folks have different curing properties.

I wasn’t delighted with having to wait; I mean what’s the point in having an operation to enhance yourself and ending up with one more setback? To cut a long story short, following a few weeks dwelling on this, I decided to take action regarding it and so I started hunting for a cure for tummy tuck scar reduction on the internet. But to no gain. I asked amongst my closest friends to determine whether any of them had a fitting suggestion to get rid of tummy tuck scars.

One friend finally got back to me with a result. She had overheard two women discussing in her hair salon on the subject of a Dermaroller which had allegedly dramatically reduced one of the ladies ‘dreadful’ stretch marks and supposedly worked on further problems including scarring!

As quickly as I could get access to a PC I looked up Derma Rollers on the web and discovered Derma-rollers.com. There was a piece of writing about how the derma roller can be used to deal with tummy tuck scar removal and, as it was a mere £99 for two derma rollers (very much cheaper than surgery) I bought a 1.0mm and a 1.5mm with a vitamin cream to try it out.

After 5 weeks of using the 1.0mm derma roller I am incredibly pleased. It has significantly reduced the extent of the scar and it has gone back to my original skin colour. I am now going to use the 1.5mm derma roller to carry on this process to see if it completely removes it. I have even treated my cellulite and that seems to be vanishing too! I’m so lucky my friend went to the hairdressers that day; she has helped me discover a treatment for a tummy tuck scar that genuinely does what it’s supposed to!

Derma Roller

The Scientia Derma-Roller is an incredible new device which has the incredible ability to naturally stimulate collagen production without causing harm to the skin by making the skin to believe that it is damaged even though it is not, and so it starts to repair itself and will carry on healing until the treatment ceases. This means that as long as the treatment is carried out at regular intervals, your skin will heal itself to a cosmetically satisfying level. Skin needling has a lot of beneficial results including:

* Hair Loss Treatment
* Anti Ageing
* Anti Wrinkle
* Removal of cellulite
* Scar Removal
* Stretch Mark Reduction
* Hyper Pigmentation Treatment

The needle length on a DermaRoller is usually only one millimeter in length, which gives a tickling sensation when used. However, other sizes are available with the longer sizes above one and a half mm being used by professionals using numbing cream. These more vigorous treatments need longer breaks in between sessions whereas using a smaller needle length at home can be used up to five times per week with two days rest.

Not many people realize it, but an awful lot of the active ingredients within your chosen skin care products stay on the surface of your skin and are not fully absorbed. The Derma roller has approximately one hundred and ninety two surgical steel micro-needles which part the pores of the epidermis without causing damage to it. After about an hour the pores close again however during that time, your skin is more able to take in skin creams and lotions.

Our body reacts to any perceived injury by starting the healing process to seal up the affected area, but usually it will only heal as far as it must to keep you healthy. By persistently triggering the healing process using a skin roller to mimic an injury to be repaired, you encourage your body to “heal” to your satisfaction.

Derma-Roller – get rid of stretch marks

Monday, January 4th, 2010

Plenty of people across the world suffer from stretch marks. Both women and men alike, will find them showing after periods of significant growth such as puberty. Women, of course, suffer with them after pregnancy.

They occur as our skin attempts to keep up with the rate of growth in the muscles, bones or, in the instance of pregnancy, child. Invariably however, it fails to do so and tears form in the middle layer of skin, known as the Dermis. These tears show as red streaks at first and change over time to a silvery colour.

The stretch marks are actually pockets of skin with reduced levels of collagen. As the middle layer is ripped in two during the growth phase, it fails to restore itself so that it looks like its former state. Of course, it is only a cosmetic concern as there is practically no medical disadvantage to having these marks, the cosmetic concerns, however, are great. They make you feel self concious in front of people and don’t look very nice.

To remove stretch marks involves increasing the collagen levels within the Dermis layer of skin. This is most effectively achieved by enhancing your own bodies natural ability to produce collagen rather than introducing it from external sources. The best technique for doing this is medical needling using a dermaroller which is a type of collagen induction therapy.

A derma roller is a hand held device with many small needles that you roll over your skin to start the healing process and increase collagen and elastin production to naturally heal the skin.

The other additional advantage of using a dermaroller , is the way in which it boosts the effectiveness of creams and oils, such as the commonly used bio oil. It gives these lotions the ideal conditions to permeate the upper levels of skin to a far greater degree providing a much enhanced result.

As with anything health or medical related, it is important to do your research and go and see your doctor before beginning or using any product or treatment.

Derma-roller Instructions

Now that I have tried the Derma Roller for myself, I have to admit it is the most effective gadget I have EVER used! At first I was a bit skeptical, I mean, how can a few needles remove stretch marks? But as it was recommended to me by a friend and nothing else had worked on the stretch marks on my legs and tummy so, I gave it a whirl. I purchased my Derma Roller and some cream (which is 100% natural source) from derma-rollers.com and I recieved it the NEXT DAY, I was REALLY impressed. I had ordered a 1.0mm Derma roller so as not to go too small or too large and I must say it looked a little daunting when I took it out of the packaging, so I was glad I didn’t go any bigger.

Upon the first use it gave me an unusual tickling sensation, and I wasn’t sure whether I liked it or not, but as I got used to it I hardly even felt it. I found it much easier to use on my legs then my tummy because I am very ticklish, so I just sat laughing when rolling my stomach.

I use my Derma roller every week day with the cream and then give it the weekend off for my skin to heal. It only took about one and a half weeks for me to really notice the difference. My stretch marks were much less visible, they had gone lighter in colour and shorter in length. My skin even felt healthier!

About a month after using the Dermaroller and cream my stretch marks have almost gone! My confidence in my body and in general has rocketed and I have absolutely no doubt that they will continue to improve and maybe one day, fingers crossed, they will be completely healed! So, what are you waiting for?!
