The Secret About Cricut Creativity

Thursday, April 21st, 2011

If you are like me, you love Cricut and creating beautiful pieces of art. I want to spark your imagination by showing you my favorite tricks all around the Cricut essentials and on becoming a more creative cricut artist.

But how can you get even more, even better ideas? If you ask me, everyone of us is a creative artists. It’s actually true if you think about it. We have great ideas all the time. We have ideas about absolutely everything. The problem is that we tend to forget them just as fast as we get them. In the one moment we have the best idea ever and in the next moment it’s gone.

That’s why keeping a diary is a great way to use more of our natural creative energy! The sooner you get a small book or pocket diary, the better. Make it a habit to take it no matter where you go. That’s the reason why a huge book wouldn’t work. Choose one that you feel comfortable using and that fits in your pockets.

Whenever you get a creative spark just write it down immediately and you will never forget anything ever again.

Let’s head over to my second trick: The Cricut Essentials. That tool-kit is worth it’s weight in gold. We often have a very creative idea about a great card or present, but our tools are not enough to create it. Then we sit around thinking about how to make that one important cut without ruining everything.

Now I want to give you a final insight. I guess you are like me and have a favorite place to work on your beautiful projects. Now, after finishing your project you should always clean up instantly! We like to hesitate about it. It’s messy and we feel exhausted. Trust me on this one – a messy workplace unconsciously holds you back from starting a new project.

And that’s it! I hope you have a lot of fun with your new ideas about creativity and the cricut essentials!

The Best Way To Have Fun With Cricut

Saturday, December 18th, 2010

Are you a fan of cricut and scrapbooking? Do you want to know how to have even more fun with cricut, have more ideas and be more creative about your projects? This cricut guide is all about how to get more out of the Cricut essentials and have more fun with scrapbooking.

First of all I want to ask you one question. How often did you have a great idea for a new piece of art, a new greeting card or something similar? And how often did you forget it?

If you don’t write them down immediately it’s very likely you will forget them by tomorrow. Get a notebook and write down every creative spark of your mind immediately! I bet you have so much potential, so many great visions that’s you can’t possibly keep them all in your head. This is the reason why we forget so many ideas. But you can’t forget a single idea if you always carry your personal cricut notebook with you!

Now let’s head over to my second advice: Get the amazing Cricut essentials to be prepared for your projects. The cricut essentials are tools that are incredibly useful for cricut lovers. Don’t mess around with old scissors when you are creating the invitation cards for your loved ones. Your art deserves the best tools! What I like the most about the Cricut essentials is that they contain all necessary tools so I don’t have to stop my projects because I need another tool.

Last but not least: Care about your workplace. I recommend you to clean it immediately after finishing your project. If your workplace looks like a mess you will not feel motivated to start the next project. In your mind you will always be aware of the fact that you can’t work on cricut before you have finally cleaned up. You basically keep yourself from having fun by creating a barrier in your unconscious mind. Trust me on this one – cleaning up your workplace will help you to be more creative!

More Fun With Scrapbooking With These 3 Golden Rules

Sunday, July 18th, 2010

A few days ago I wanted to start a spontaneous scrapbooking session. But when I was about to start, I suddenly thought about the process and it gave me the creeps.

It sounds strange but every time I start to scrapbook something goes wrong. It’s somehow inevitable. For example, at least one of my tools was always missing. Sometimes I ruin a cut just because I can’t properly lift the piece of the cutting map.

If you have similar experiences I want to share with you my three golden rules for scrapbooking fun. They literally changed they way I did scrapbooking and now I have fun every time I scrapbook.

Golden Rule 1: Organize Your Workplace

In the past I often had a problem: My workplace wasn’t a real workplace. It was just a place where I used to store some of my tools, but there was no real intention involved.

Of course I never managed to find all my important tools when I needed them this way.

I recommend you to design your workplace like an office. Have a place for everything. Have a place where you want to store your tools. Clean up every time you leave your workplace.

Golden Rule 2: Tools Are Important

Nothing is worse than ruining a great cut because your scissors is not sharp enough. You can not scrapbook if you haven’t got a complete set of high quality tools. Probably the best of all Cricut tools is the Cricut cutting machine.

Golden Rule 3: Write Down Your Thoughts

At the end of the day you will want your ideas and thoughts well organized and written down. Why? We have great ideas all the time but we forget them immediately if we don’t write them down as soon as we can.

I recommend you to organize your thoughts, your tools and your workplace. This way nothing will come between you and a scrapbooking session full of fun and creativity!
