Cosmetic Surgeons Would Rather Let You Have The Stuff That Works
Sunday, December 5th, 2010I didn’t know till just now that there is a competitor for Botox. It is called Dysport. I just saw online that the FDA has approved it for use. There are so many prescription answers to wrinkles that we forget to think of them when we are at the cosmetic counter. These are just a few…Botox, peels (laser and chemical,) Restylane and laser resurfacing. Usually you need a doctor and a professional staff to administer these treatments. And, do you know what? They work! If you could get Botox, a toxin that if not used properly could kill (no kidding,) in a jar, then what is all the hub bub about when you see a dermatologist or plastic surgeon. The reason is because you can’t and it doesn’t work that well. What does work extremely well is Botox in conjunction with dermal fillers. That is something that works well and is worth the cost. It’s the best anti wrinkle you can’t get in a cream. We’ll just have to see if this competitor is any good. Maybe we will start wanting Dysport in a jar. I don’t know what this drug is or what it does but if it really does compete then Botox has something to worry about. Now, each person is different and each decision about the best anti wrinkle product has to be looked at from that person’s point of view. Some like the idea of just using some products that come in an ampule. Some have called this the liquid face lift. Others have no problem utilizing the full spectrum of what a surgeon can do. And, I, like most, don’t want to go that drastic. But of course it works. And you pay for it. If you could get a face lift in a jar for 12 dollars do really think it would work? Maybe some anti wrinkle but not the whole face lift.
