Have you ever heard of the Chinese pregnancy calendar?
You can look up the gender of your unborn child with it. Cool huh? How does it work? You take the age of the mother, subtract 9 months, and findĀ it on the Chinese Gender Chart at the top. Find the month of conception and cross reference. It is important you know the month of conception. That is all you need to find out if you are having a boy or girl. It’s always fun to try and guess the gender of your unborn baby or the baby you plan on having.
You can also use the Chinese Birth Chart to decide when to conceive. This is probably what the Chinese people use it for most. You find the mothers age, subtract 9 months, and look for the gender you want. From there you find what month you should conceive. That doesn’t seem too hard. Apparently millions of Chinese swear by it.
Where does it come from? A Chinese Scholar created it 700 years ago. It was found in a Royal tomb near Beijing. The Original chart is kept in the Beijing Institute of Science. It is supposed to be 97% accurate but I haven’t seen anything to support that. But I feel that after all, with the largest population in the world, the Chinese got to know a thing or two about childbirths.
When it comes to finding out the gender of your unborn child, I would say get an ultrasound at 6-8 months. If you want to choose your child’s gender, it’s as good as anything else you can try as far as I’m concerned. I suppose you could go to a doctor and have a designer baby but, I can’t tell you the cost or accuracy of that. The Chinese Pregnancy Chart is free and it will be at least 50% accurate. Besides, this is more fun. If it doesn’t work for you, it’s still an interesting bit of trivia.
